Workshop # 3 "What is Genealogy and how you can trace your ancestry" (free)
Given by Ed Schmidt. If you or your extended family has a laptop computer, bring it along. It may be possible for you to see your ancestry information. A computer is not necessary for you to attend the workshop. We may be able to print out your ancestry information.
Additional Note: Though a computer is not necessary, it can give hands-on experience. If you have a notebook or laptop computer that can access the internet to either download or update a Brother's Keeper Program, and bring it along, Ed will install the most current available GRANDMA data. If you don't want the internet, it may be possible for Ed to install a Brother's Keeper program and dialogue with you about some of the ways in which this can be a very helpful genealogical source. He will also help you to share this information so that it is available to the editors of GRANDMA. If you attend, a most useful printout of the ancestral 6 generation pie chart will be demonstrated and it may possible to print one for you.
