West of Codette past the New Cemetery/Church. This New Church came about from Members of the old church breaking away and forming this New One still in operation today.
The Old Church was built in 1915. Has been closed and was sold to a Pearson in the area. Land where cemetery is on was donated by a Peter Penner who donated the 2 acres. First person to be buried there was a Jacob Kroeker. The cemetery is still being used but you have to make your own arrangements to dig the grave, etc.
These settlers worked their way to this area from Steinbach, Manitoba.
There is another settlement in Carrot River, Saskatchewan, East of Nipawin which still exists.
Associated church (legacy field): Bergthal Church also known as the Sommerfelt Church
