The Annual General Meeting &
Appreciating the Bergthaler Mennonite Church History

To be held at Valley Christian Academy (VCA) near Osler, SK, on Friday evening, March 6, and all-day Saturday, March 7, 2009.

The Friday night program starts at 7:30 p.m. and includes; a special tribute to Aeltester Abe Buhler (led by Rev. David Buhler), a special tribute to Aeltester John D. Reddekopp (led by Linsay Martens and Frances Saggs), music by the Blumenheim Singing Group, and a slide presentation on the Bergthaler Mennonite Church by Leonard Doell and Abe Buhler.

The Saturday program has a $10 registration fee to cover a delicious lunch by the Bergthaler ladies, and begins with the annual general meeting at 9:30. After the mid-morning coffee-break, Conrad Stoez, Winnipeg, MB., will talk about the relationship between the Bergthaler and Sommerfelder churches.

After that delicious lunch, Leonard Doell will bring a presentation on the history of the Bergthaler Mennonite Church of Saskatchewan.

Following the afternoon coffee-break, Bishop George Buhler will share about the future of the Bergthaler Church. The day will close about 3:30 in the afternoon.
