Isaac Hildebrand was born June 18, 1864, to Heinrich Hildebrand and Helena Martens. He came to Canada with his parents on the S.S. Quebec.

They arrived in Quebec City on July 20, 1875. They settled at Neuendorf, Manitoba. He married Maria Harder on April 12, 1888. She was born May 9, 1868, to Jacob Harder and Aganetha Winter.

Isaac Hildebrand and family moved to Saskatchewan in 1899, where he took up homestead on SW 16, Tp. 41 R4, W of 3. He lived in the village of Hochfeld, where he farmed and served the community as a blacksmith.

In 1899, he broke 18 acres and cropped 0; in 1900, he broke 18 acres and cropped 33; in 1901, he broke 11 acres and cropped 44; in 1902, he broke 19 acres and cropped 70.

In 1902, he owned 8 head of cattle, 6 horses, and 4 pigs. He built a framed house 24×14 in the village of Hochfeld, valued at $200. He also owned a stable, granary and a well worth $300.

Isaac Hildebrandt passed away on April 22, 1929. Many of the Hildebrand descendants still reside in the Valley area.
