History of site: Peter O. Penner came to Clark’s Crossing, Saskatchewan in 1902 to start homesteading. Four of his six adult children – Jacob, Abraham, Peter, and Margaretha with their families, also homesteaded in this area. Members of the Penner family, and members of the Wilhelm Bergen family, who homesteaded SE 1-38-5,W3rd, are buried here as well as some friends of the family. There is a little white picket fence around these graves around the SE 1-38-5 site, which can be seen from the road.
